Kingdom Services Group Ltd in Barrow-in-Furness is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead a team of cleaners on-site at Orsted Barrow West Coast Hub. The role is a hands-on supervisory position with responsibilities for daily operations, scheduling, inspections and staff development.

The candidate will oversee cleaning plans, maintain quality standards, and ensure health and safety compliance while delivering excellent customer service. Own transport is essential for site access.

Location: Orsted Barrow West Coast Hub 01, Ramsey Way, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, LA14 2GR

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm (40 hours per week)

Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Orsted Barrow West Coast Hub. This is a hands‑on supervisory role where you will lead and support a team of cleaners while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety are maintained across the site.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing cleaning schedules, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent leadership skills who can motivate a team and maintain excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of cleaning staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
• Inspect and evaluate cleaning standards to ensure high levels of cleanliness are consistently maintained.
• Train, develop, and support cleaning staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas are cleaned thoroughly and on time.
• Order, monitor, and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Respond to and resolve any cleaning-related issues or customer complaints professionally and promptly.
• Carry out regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health & safety procedures.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of cleaning operations and staff performance.
• Assist with cleaning duties as required, as this is a hands‑on supervisory role.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or in a similar supervisory cleaning role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and correct storage and disposal procedures.
• Experience creating and implementing cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas for improvement.
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts or issues within the team effectively.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations relating to cleaning services.
• Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Own transport is essential due to the location of the site.

Essential Checks

• Enhanced Child DBS required.
• BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance required.
• Right to work in the UK.
