About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at HMP Rochester, a CATEGORY C & Male prison.

Join a team that works MONDAY TO FRIDAY as a supportive and driven family, creating a safe and nurturing environment.

HMP Rochester operates like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of staff to maintain its functions. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your work will impact prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all committed to providing a safe environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a cleaning environment
• Knowledge of COSHH
• Understanding of health and safety requirements
• Strong organisational, time management, and interpersonal skills
