Royal Mail P&FS are recruiting for a Multi-site Cleaning Operative at Harlow Delivery Office. Job Reference Number 325132. Pay: £12.21 per hour.

Benefits: 22.5 days annual leave, rising to 25 after 5 years’ service, plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, employee referral scheme and Defined Contribution pension scheme. Contract type: Permanent. Working Hours: Part time hours 25 per week, Monday – Friday.

Shift Pattern (Working 25 hours a week split over the below 3 sites between 10.30am and 6pm) (Flexible).

  • Harlow Delivery Office – CM20 1AA: 13 hours 30 minutes a week
  • Ongar Delivery Office – CM5 9JB: 4 hours 30 minutes a week
  • Epping Delivery Office – CM16 4AA: 7 hours a week

Responsibilities

As part of Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions you will work either as part of a team or as the only cleaner on site, ensuring we continue to deliver the high standards of service our customers expect. As a cleaning operative you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including mopping, toilet cleaning, washing walls, vacuuming, emptying bins, dusting and sanitising surfaces safely and professionally to a high standard.

  • Operate a variety of cleaning equipment (full training provided with a first day induction)
  • Perform manual handling activities as part of the role

About You

Previous cleaning experience is desired, but not essential. You should be naturally friendly, with good written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with customers and managers while complying with Health & Safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be reliable, self-motivated with a keen eye for detail, able to work on your own initiative and organise your own time, as you’ll be managed remotely.

This role is physically challenging and involves manual handling.
