Job Title: Cleaning Operative - Night Shift

Location: Glasgow Airport

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour (night shifts)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with shifts ranging from 6:45pm to 8:15pm start, finishing between 6:30am and 7:30pm. The schedule includes 11-hour shifts over 4 days with 3 days off, and 12-hour shifts over 3 days with 4 days off. Days off are not consecutive but come in sets of two. Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness within the terminal building through activities such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, bin emptying, and cleaning washrooms, toilets, offices, and external areas as directed by the Senior Supervisor.
• Complete assigned tasks promptly while adhering to company rules and procedures.
• Handle hazardous materials properly, use uniforms and PPE correctly, and follow safety protocols both landside and airside.
• Maintain professionalism in appearance and manners towards co-workers, clients, and visitors within the airport environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Person Specification:

• Attention to detail, ability to work independently, initiative, reliability, responsibility, and flexibility. Good communication skills and commitment to quality.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a busy operational environment.
• Ability to work without constant supervision following management instructions.
• Reliable and flexible. Full training will be provided.

Essential Requirements:

• Provide a 5-year checkable referencing history.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred, especially with buffer/scrubber drier.
