Job description

Job Title: Cleaning Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative based at St Johns Ambulance, Redhill.

Pay rate: £12.60 per hour

Working patterns: Monday to Friday, 6pm to 8pm, 10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain designated building areas to a high cleaning standard, ensuring customer satisfaction as per contract specifications.
2. Empty waste bins and transport waste to collection points.
3. Sweep floors with brushes or dust control mops.
4. Mop floors with wet or damp mops.
5. Suction clean carpets and spot clean carpets.
6. Use electrically powered scrubbing/polishing machines to clean floors, after proper training.
7. Dust, wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, radiators, shelves, and fixtures.
8. Replenish consumables like soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels as needed.
9. Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, and drinking fountains.
10. Use chemical agents as directed, following proper training.
11. Perform wall washing or window cleaning up to a height of body plus arm extension.
12. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection guidelines.
