Job summary

Personnel Ltd is seeking a Cleaning Operative for the Cheltenham area. The role involves cleaning a venue, following site rules and safety procedures, with day and night shifts and a 12-hour shift pattern.

You will report to a Cleaning Supervisor and work as part of a team. Applicants should have around 2 years of Cleaning Operative experience, good English basics, and be reliable and punctual to cover rostered shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cleaning environments.
• Ability to follow safety and site regulations.
• Good communication with supervisor and client.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including toilets, floors, surfaces and furniture.
• Empty bins and dispose of rubbish; sanitise ablution facilities.
• Report suspicious behaviour and safety issues to supervisor.
• Follow company policies and dress/behaviour codes.
• Maintain punctuality and rosters; adapt to flexible hours.
• Complete daily cleaning check sheets.
• Basic English communication preferred.

This role (Cleaning Operative) is based in the Cheltenham / Gloucester area.

Hours: Days and Nights

Work Time: As per operations at the venue

Role Description

Reporting to a Cleaning Supervisor and working as part of a team, this role is responsible for cleaning an area within a venue.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning Operative tasks include; picking up rubbish, toilet cleaning, detail cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, emptying bins, seat cleaning, washing metal stair cases, removing chewing gum from all areas and sanitising ablution facilities.
• Communicate all suspicious behaviour and potential security risks to your area supervisor as soon as possible
• Safe work practices are followed as per Company Policies.
• Effective communication is maintained with the Cleaning Supervisor and the client.
• Adhere to the site regulations for safety
• All dress and behaviour codes are followed, understood and adhered to.
• Reporting on time to all rostered shifts.
• preparedness to work flexible hours.
• Fill in daily cleaning check sheets
• In order to satisfy the above, it is preferable to speak and understand basic communication in English
