Job description

Position: Cleaning Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative based at St John Ambulance in Calverton, Nottingham.

Hours: 6 hours per week

Working patterns: [Specify working patterns]

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Key Accountabilities:

• Maintain an allocated building or area within a building to a high cleaning standard, ensuring customer satisfaction as per contract specifications.
• Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated collection points.
• Sweep floors with brushes or dust control mops.
• Mop floors with wet or damp mops.
• Suction clean carpeted areas and spot clean carpets.
• Use electrically powered scrubbing, polishing, and spray cleaning machines after proper training.
• Dust, damp wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, and external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves, and fitments.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels as needed.
• Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, and drinking fountains.
• Use chemical agents as directed, after proper training.
• Perform wall washing or inside window cleaning up to a height of body height plus arm’s extension.
• Perform other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection guidelines.
• Carry out any other duties as required by management.
