Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is hiring a Cleaning Operative for a fixed-term 2-month assignment at a corporate site in Manchester. The role is 35 hours per week at £13.45 per hour, with Sodexo employee benefits available.

You will perform cleaning tasks, follow procedures, wear the uniform and PPE, comply with COSHH and safety rules, and report issues to the supervisor. The ideal candidate has previous cleaning experience and demonstrates reliability, teamwork, and a proactive attitude to learning.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all cleaning tasks as directed by the cleaning supervisor/manager.
• Complete scheduled cleaning duties to the required standard.
• Wear the company uniform and any required PPE while on duty.
• Comply with all site policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements, including COSHH regulations.
• Follow the company’s cleaning methods and color-coding policies.
• Report any faults with cleaning equipment or building defects to the supervisor or General Services manager.
• Attend training as required and carry out any reasonable management requests.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with staff and visitors.
