Job summary

Elcometer Limited in Manchester is seeking a dedicated cleaner to perform cleaning duties at the Edge Lane site, covering offices, work areas, toilets, canteens, kitchens, and corridors. You will follow the cleaning rota and work as part of a team or independently to maintain high standards.

The role requires previous cleaning experience and familiarity with industrial cleaning and commercial cleaning equipment; you will follow Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

Job description

As part of the cleaning team, you will be responsible for all cleaning requirements in your assigned area.

Site Cleaning

• Carry out scheduled cleaning duties across the Edge Lane site. Clean offices, work areas, toilets, canteens, kitchens, corridors, and other communal areas.
• Follow the cleaning rota to ensure all assigned tasks are completed efficiently.

Equipment

• Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly. Maintain cleaning equipment and report any faults or damage to the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and securely.

Health & Safety

• Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and all company health and safety procedures.
• Follow emergency procedures when required.
• Report hazards, defects, accidents, and near misses promptly to the Cleaning Supervisor.
• Always Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

General Duties

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the site.
• Work effectively as part of the cleaning team while also being able to work independently.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role and within your capabilities.
