Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Cleaning Operative for Trinity Leeds in Leeds. You will undertake frontline cleaning duties across a busy retail environment and support with waste removal, using appropriate equipment and PPE.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, reliability, and a customer‑friendly approach. Shift pattern rotates between mornings and afternoons, with 40 hours per week and a rate of £13.45 per hour.

Back of House Cleaning Operative

Working within the large cleaning department to carry out a variety of daily duties to ensure the centre is always kept clean and tidy.

Driving duties are part of the day-to-day requirements, and must hold a full UK driving licence.

Main Duties to include;

• Removal and recycling of retailer's waste within the Loading Bays
• Maintaining the Corridors – Removing any unwanted Items
• Maintaining entrances
• Assisting with environmental incidents
• Operating compactors
• Operating various cleaning equipment
• Assisting with the sites Winter Strategy (gritting)

What We Are Looking For

• A competent and reliable induvial who is willing to comply with the company's Health and Safety procedure
• To carry out all duties effectively and efficiently with accordance with contractual requirements
• Have full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work to be carried out and time allocated to the area.
• Working with the food retailers
• Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used within the premises and to attend all necessary training to be able to use this equipment
• To comply with the requirements of Health & Safety, other relevant legislation, and premises policies
• To wear protective clothing (PPE) as issued
• Perform miscellaneous cleaning duties as appropriate as instructed by the Cleaning Team Leader
• Good Customer Service skills
• Team Player
