Cleaning Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative based at St Johns Ambulance in Kendal.

Pay rate: £12.60 per hour.

Working patterns: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday - 6am to 8am. Working 6 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain an allocated building or area within a building to a high cleaning standard, ensuring customer satisfaction as per the contract specification.
• Empty waste bins and transport waste material to designated collection points.
• Sweep floors with brushes or dust control mops.
• Mop floors with wet or damp mops.
• Suction clean carpets and perform spot cleaning.
• Use electrically powered scrubbing/polishing machines to clean floors (training provided).
• Dust, damp wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, radiators, shelves, and fitments.
• Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels as needed.
• Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, and drinking fountains.
• Use chemicals as directed, following proper instruction and training.
• Perform wall washing or inside window cleaning up to a height safe from the floor.
• Perform other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection guidelines.
• Carry out any additional duties as required by management.
