Job summary

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a reliable Factory Cleaner to join our client's manufacturing facility in Edenbridge. This temporary role provides cover for approximately 3 months with potential for ongoing work in other areas of the factory.

The job focuses on cleaning production and non-production areas, including staff canteens and warehouses, with strict health and safety procedures and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is required.
• Experience working in a factory, warehouse or industrial environment would be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties within production and non-production areas, working around machinery but not operating it.
• Clean warehouse and factory floor areas.
• Clean staff kitchens and canteen areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of external areas where required.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum and sanitise designated areas.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including a back-held vacuum with harness and cleaning trolley.
• Use a scrubber machine as necessary.
• Ensure all cleaning is completed to a high standard.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures and cleaning instructions.
• Always wear the required PPE.
• Wear steel toe cap safety shoes when working within production areas.
• Report any hazards, maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate person.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

• Monday to Friday - up to 7.5 hours per day
• Flexible working hours
• Overtime available on Saturdays if required

HRGO Recruitment are seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Cleaner to join our client's manufacturing facility.

This role is initially to provide cover to last approximately 3 months. There is also potential for ongoing work in other areas of the factory once the cover period ends, subject to suitability and business requirements.

This is a traditional factory cleaning role rather than office cleaning, with responsibility for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the production and wider site areas.

Training and Equipment

Full Health & Safety induction including a tour of the facility to identify all areas requiring cleaning.

Cleaning equipment will be provided, including:

• Back-held vacuum with harness
• Cleaning trolley and spray bottles
• Scrubber machine as required
• Required PPE

Please note that steel toe cap safety shoes are required when working within production areas.
