Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is recruiting for cleaning staff to support train presentation across UK sites. You will be responsible for cleaning interiors, sanitising facilities, and maintaining a tidy environment to ensure trains are ready for passenger service.

The role requires reliability, a willingness to learn, and a professional appearance. Training and career development are provided, with full induction and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning train interiors to the required standards
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets
• Hoovering floors and seating areas
• Litter picking and emptying waste bins
• Wiping and cleaning tables, seats, windows and other surfaces
• Mopping floors as needed
• Replenishing cleaning consumables
• Ensure trains are ready for passenger service
• Report defects or safety concerns
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
• Follow COSHH and safety procedures
• Work as part of the Train Presentation team

The role

Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our Cleaning team, working with our prestigious clients. Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:

• Cleaning train interiors to the required WMT Presentation standards
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets
• Hoovering floors and seating areas
• Litter picking and emptying waste bins
• Wiping and cleaning tables, seats, windows and other interior surfaces
• Mopping floors where required
• Replenishing toilet and cleaning consumables
• Carrying out cleaning tasks within the allocated time to ensure trains are ready for passenger service
• Reporting any defects, damage, safety concerns or issues identified during cleaning
• Using cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly and safely
• Following COSHH requirements, health and safety procedures and site instructions
• Work effectively as part of the Train Presentation team to ensure all allocated units are completed to the required standard

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, original payslip, birth certificate or a valid share code.
