Chelmsford City Council is seeking self-motivated, experienced and customer focused Cleaning Operatives to join their cleaning team. You will provide an important service, working to a high standard so that our staff and visitors enjoy a clean and safe environment.

Based at Freighter House Depot, Boreham CM2 5PH – the working hours for the positions are:
Position 1 - 7.30am to 10.30am, Mon to Fri. (15 hours per week).
Position 2 - 7.30am to 10.30am, Mon to Fri. (15 hours per week).

Consideration will be given to applicants that would like to combine the two positions and work 30 hours per week (6 hours per day). Please indicate your preference on the application form.

Flexibility in working hours is key, as you will be required to cover absence within the wider cleaning team, sometimes at other Council premises within the City. This could involve evening work. (No night work)

Any hours worked in excess of the contracted hours will be paid as overtime.
