Job Description:

Cleaning Operative

We are currently recruiting for the position of Cleaning Operative based in St John Ambulance Bridgewater.

Working patterns:

Mon 6:00 - 9:15, Tue 6:00 - 8:00, Wed 6:00 - 9:15, Thu 6:00 - 8:00, Fri 6:00 - 9:15

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain an allocated building or area within a building to a high cleaning standard, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality service as per the contract.
  • Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated collection points.
  • Sweep floors with brushes or dust control mops.
  • Mop floors with wet or damp mops.
  • Suction clean carpeted areas and perform spot cleaning.
  • Use electrically powered scrubbing/polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish, and spray clean floors (after proper training).
  • Dust, damp wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, radiators, shelves, and fitments.
  • Replenish consumables such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels as needed.
  • Clean toilets, urinals, sinks, and drinking fountains.
  • Use chemical agents as directed, after proper instruction and training.
  • Perform wall washing or inside window cleaning up to a height accessible from the floor.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines.
  • Perform any additional duties as required by management.
