Samsic UK is a leading provider of cleaning and facility management services with over 30 years of experience. We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Jewson Oswestry.

Position Overview:

As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in our clients' premises. Tasks include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
2. Sanitize high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and countertops.
3. Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins.
4. Refill consumables like hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
5. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
6. Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and stored properly.
7. Report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
8. Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
9. Maintain a professional and friendly attitude towards clients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience is preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning products and materials.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to a high standard.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and bending.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work hours including evenings and weekends if necessary.

Shift Details:

Coverage on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, for 2 hours per shift, between 8am-4pm. Pay rate is £12.21 per hour. Shifts can be scheduled at your convenience.
