Job Introduction

As a Cleaning and Waste Manager based in RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality cleaning and waste management services. You’ll oversee operational performance, lead a motivated team, and manage third-party contracts, all while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee all cleaning and waste management operations in line with contract requirements and Sodexo service standards.
2. Lead, direct, and support your team to consistently deliver high standards and service excellence.
3. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including regular audits and safety walks.
4. Maintain strong financial oversight – monitoring budgets, managing costs, and driving continuous improvement.
5. Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships through regular engagement and exceptional service delivery.
6. Contribute to business planning, performance reviews, and strategic development initiatives.
7. Support recruitment, training, and development of your team, promoting a culture of engagement and high performance.
8. Maintain professional standards in documentation, reporting, and day-to-day operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a management role, overseeing a large team.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Sound knowledge of health & safety regulations.
• Confident with IT systems including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team.
• IOSH Managing Safely or similar health & safety qualification.
• Technical knowledge across soft FM areas.
• Demonstrated success in client relationship management within a contract environment.
