The Role

We're looking for a Cleaning Manager to lead our cleaning operations at a prestigious London location. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who thrives on delivering high standards, managing people, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the cleaning team to deliver services in line with client agreements and Compass Group standards.
  • Drive a strong Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance with all legislation and company procedures, including COSHH.
  • Manage budgets for labour, equipment, and resources to achieve commercial targets.
  • Continuously improve service delivery across Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety metrics.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure the right skills and performance standards are met.
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1s and lead by example to motivate and engage your team.
  • Build strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to enhance service and reputation.
  • Manage third-party suppliers (e.g., waste, pest control) to meet SLAs.
  • Work flexibly and attend off-site meetings or training as required.
About You

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (including COSHH).
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Strong numerical and written skills, IT literate.
  • Flexible approach to work.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience managing a commercial cleaning operation.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
