STADA UK Thornton & Ross - Cleaning in Place Operator

Huddersfield | United Kingdom (GB) | Full-time | Permanent

The purpose of this role is to ensure all equipment within the CIP area is kept clean to a high standard and is ready to use when required. They must liaise with the liquids filling PU to ensure the correct set-up for line washouts and product transfer utilising the SCADA system.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Perform automated Cleaning in Place (CIP) of manufacturing and intermediate storage vessels, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Operate and monitor equipment using the PC-based SCADA control system, including vessel operations and batch data input.
  • Manually clean vessels and equipment when necessary, maintaining hygiene standards throughout the CIP area.
  • Manage product transfers between manufacturing, storage, and filling departments, including pipework connection.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and filling Group Leaders to align vessel availability with the production schedule.
  • Maintain accurate GMP-compliant records and ensure environmental cleanliness within the CIP zone.
  • Conduct routine checks and ensure safe operation of CIP systems, adhering strictly to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning materials, consumables, and spare parts.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by line management and support overtime efforts to meet departmental KPIs.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum GCSE or equivalent in Math and English.
  • Moderate IT skills with common tools; experience with CIP-Systems and SCADA would be a plus.
  • Experience in working in a controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Preferably a good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and cleanroom protocols.
  • Experience of handling chemicals.
