Ecotricity is seeking a flexible Cleaning Crew Member on a zero hours contract to provide cover across our Stroud-area sites. The role requires travel between sites and a clean UK driving licence.
You will be part of the Places team delivering high standards of service and supporting across multiple locations. Responsibilities include cleaning, stocking and supplying designated areas, transporting waste, and completing the cleaning routine in line with site specifications.
This is a Zero Hours contract, primarily providing flexible cover for holidays, sickness and other absences within our Cleaning Crew. The role will involve working across different Ecotricity sites, depending on where cover is required, so flexibility and the ability to travel between sites is an important part of the role.
Working within Ecotricity’s Places team, the role of a Cleaning Crew Member will be a varied one, with the common theme of delivering an excellent level of service and support to internal customers and external third parties across our sites in the Stroud area.
As the role requires you to travel between our sites, a full, clean UK driving licence is essential. You must be able to drive to and between our different locations as required and have access to suitable transport to enable you to do this.
You will ideally have a good track record of commercial cleaning to a high standard, working as part of a larger team. You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence, both personally and as part of a team, along with flexibility and a willingness to learn.
You should be organised, reliable and happy to work flexibly, sometimes at short notice, depending on the needs of the Cleaning Crew.
Cleaner Responsibilities include:
As a valued member of the team, you will be supporting the Group Environmental Policy and its associated sustainability objectives and targets.
The fast moving nature of the business means that from time to time you may be asked to perform duties or tasks outside of your original job description on an ad hoc basis. This allows the company to utilise our people in the best possible way at all times and helps our colleagues to make the best contribution in a changing environment.
Ecotricity is Britain's overall greenest energy company- it’s more than just green energy – the breadth and depth of our work on green issues is unmatched.
Our mission was, and remains, to change the way energy is made and used in Britain - by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable energy.
We don't just supply green energy, we use the money from our customers' bills to make it ourselves too – we have built windmills and sun parks in Britain. We call this turning 'bills into mills'.
We don't just focus on energy though- we built the Electric Highway, Britain's leading network of electric vehicle charging points; we helped Forest Green Rovers become the greenest football club in the world; and we launched Britain's greenest mobile phone service, Ecotalk, where they use the money from our customers' bills to protect and regenerate Britain's lost rainforests.
