Job description

Kingdom Cleaning has an excellent opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our established and successful team.

The role covers a wide area and involves managing a portfolio of contracts, which is essential for the ongoing development of Kingdom Cleaning.

The Contract Manager should possess strong customer relationship skills, excellent organizational skills, and a professional, consistent approach. The role requires teamwork and the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and be proactive. Flexibility and professionalism are essential.

You must handle all matters and queries tactfully and diplomatically.

This position is hands-on and managerial.

Location: London & Southeast areas.

Start Date: ASAP!

Work Location: Various sites in the South Region, covering London & Southwest.

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, or as needed.

Pay Rate: £15.67/hour, including Laptop, Phone, & Car Allowance.

Job Purpose:

  • Support regional and account management teams with cleaning operations.
  • Motivate and train cleaning staff to meet objectives.
  • Implement, monitor, and control cleaning services to meet client and company standards.
  • Maintain a pipeline to grow the cleaning business with existing and new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish team structure and headcount.
  • Manage team salaries, terms, and conditions to attract and retain talent.
  • Develop written processes, ownership, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
  • Recognize and reward staff, balancing happiness and drive.
  • Handle disciplinary, grievance, and conflict management.
  • Plan for succession.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and statutory regulations.
  • Embed best-in-class written processes.
  • Support statutory compliance and regulations.
  • Support Group ESG targets and ambitions.
  • Sustainably grow the business through ambitious but realistic targets and upselling.

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of senior operational leadership in the cleaning sector or similar role.
  • Expert knowledge in service fields.
  • Experience in client account management at a senior level, preferably with multi-location responsibilities.

Qualifications & Licenses:

  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Five-year employment history with references, credit check, and right to work verification.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (advantageous).
