A local government council in Scotland seeks a Cleaning Assistant to manage cleaning duties at Strathblane Primary School and other related locations. Candidates should be capable of operating cleaning machinery and lifting heavy items. Training will be provided, along with flexible working arrangements and benefits including annual leave and pension scheme membership.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Stirling Council for a peripatetic Cleaning Assistant based at Strathblane Primary School, Stirling, with coverage expected at other locations within a reasonable distance from the school.
Applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items and using cleaning machinery including electric buffing machines, scrubber dryers and vacuum cleaners. They should be able to clean surfaces to head height and be prepared to work alone. Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided. Applicants will require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children/Adults.
