Job Title: Cleaning Assistant
Reporting to: Cleaning Supervisor
Location: Worcestershire County Cricket Club, New Road, Worcester, WR2 4QQ
Contract term: Full time, permanent

Purpose of the Role:
We are committed to maintaining world-class facilities for our athletes, staff, and visitors. As part of our ongoing commitment to high standards, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Assistant to join our early morning team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties indoor and outdoors, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning, sanitising surfaces and post flood clear up
- Safely operate industrial cleaning machines such as floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, steam cleaners, and pressure washers
- Clean and maintain changing rooms, gym areas, offices, corridors, kitchens, toilets. Function rooms and bar areas
- Ensure all areas are ready and presentable for daily operations before players, staff and customers arrive
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues to the Cleaning Supervisor
- Follow health and safety regulations, especially regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Adhere to club protocols for cleanliness, hygiene, and confidentiality

Requirements
Essential criteria:
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a professional or high-traffic environment
- Ability to work early morning shifts reliably and punctually
- Good physical fitness; ability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trustworthiness and a professional attitude, especially when working in sensitive or secure areas
You will need to have the Right to Work in the UK or be able to obtain this by the start date. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Desirable:
- Experience cleaning sports facilities, gyms, or hospitality venues
- Basic understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines
Benefits
Hours, benefits and salary:
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.
This is an early morning position, and the normal hours of work will be 4am to 12noon daily.
This role will involve working some evenings and weekends, particularly during the busy Cricket season.
The salary for this role is £24,000 per annum.
