Area Manager

Responsible to: Operations Manager

Salary: Competitive + Overtime

Benefits: Company Van, Mobile Phone & iPad

Hours: Full-time, minimum 40 hours/week, flexible scheduling

Location: Swindon, covering South West Region

Purpose:

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of contracts across London and South East
• Maintain and develop client relationships through meetings and inspections
• Manage cleaning personnel

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to client communications
• Arrange regular client meetings
• Review cleaning standards via inspections
• Coordinate one-off and deep cleans, ensuring client satisfaction
• Visit sites during shifts to monitor standards, staff attendance, and safety
• Ensure duties are completed and health and safety protocols are followed
• Liaise daily with managers and supervisors, fostering strong relationships
• Participate in hiring and training new staff
• Monitor equipment, uniforms, and stock levels

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous cleaning management experience
• Effective communication skills
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Ability to manage staff effectively
• IT literacy
• Attention to detail
• Strong work ethic
• Full UK driving license
