Horizons Specialist Academy Trust is seeking cleaners for Abbey Hill Academy to maintain a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment for students and staff. Roles include morning and afternoon shifts with training provided, plus a DBS check as part of recruitment.

Abbey Hill Academy is a large welcoming specialist academy comprising of three main buildings, supporting secondary and post-16 students with special educational needs. Our cleaning team plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for our students, staff and visitors.

We have a range of opportunities available to suit different working patterns

• 10 hours per week – 7.00 am-9.00 am (Actual Salary £6,042)


• 5 hours per week – 3.15 pm to 5.45 pm (Actual Salary £7,552)


• 5 hours per week – Split shift 7.00am – 9.00am and 3.15pm – 5.45pm

(Actual salary £13,594)

About the role

As a Cleaner at Abbey Hill Academy, you will help ensure our school remains clean, hygienic and welcoming. Duties will include cleaning classrooms, washrooms, kitchens and other areas around the academy.

You may also be required to operate floor-cleaning machinery, with full training provided.
