Job Overview
At Uppingham School, a clean, well-kept environment is essential to the wellbeing of our pupils. To ensure we maintain our high standards of cleanliness, we are looking for dedicated and friendly cleaners to join our Domestic Services team.
Uppingham is one of the UK’s leading co-educational boarding schools, set in the heart of Rutland. The School’s beautiful 125-acre estate features over 80 buildings, from historic landmarks to state-of-the-art, modern facilities. Among them are 15 boarding houses that serve as a home away from home for our pupils. The responsibility of maintaining these spaces falls to our experienced team of domestic staff.
With the School operating a busy academic, non-curricular and events programme seven days a week throughout the year, we offer a range of full time and part time cleaning opportunities, including team leader roles for candidates with the right supervisory experience. For many of our roles there is flexibility on what we can offer, including term time working, and all staff enjoy an attractive benefits package.
We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and can demonstrate a good knowledge of cleaning procedures. Equally important are strong communication skills, a pleasant and courteous manner, and the ability to work well with colleagues, pupils, and parents alike.
If you are interested in a cleaning role that is more than just being a cleaner, a role where you will be a pivotal member of staff with scope to progress, we encourage you to explore our various opportunities.
