Job summary
Vale of Glamorgan Council in Barry is seeking a part-time cleaning assistant to support building cleaning services at Ysgol Sant Curig. The role is 10 hours per week during term time (43 weeks), with recess duties and occasional overtime. A DBS check is required.

- Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry or a cleaning related discipline/environment.
- Basic understanding of various cleaning tasks to provide an efficient premises cleaning service.
- Good verbal communication skills and the ability to converse with members of the public and client officers.
- Be physically able to carry out manual and active labouring duties.
- Must be able to work on own initiative and undertake duties effectively.
- Positive and self-motivated with flexibility to changes in priorities.
- Prepared to work irregular hours.
- Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations.

Grade 1, SCP 3, £25,949 pa (Pro Rata), £13.45 ph
Monday to Friday.
10 hrs/week (43 weeks). 3.30 - 5.30pm
8 hrs/week (5 weeks).
