Job summary

Ysgol Rhostyllen requires a reliable Cleaner to join a dedicated school team in Wales. The role, aligned with the caretaker position, is offered under two contracts totalling 22.5 hours per week, with responsibilities across classrooms, corridors and facilities.

You will maintain high standards of cleanliness, work independently and with colleagues, and communicate effectively to support pupil and staff wellbeing.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will help ensure that the school environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.

This position coincides with the caretaker role currently being advertised; the roles will be offered under two separate contracts, totalling 22.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting surfaces
• Cleaning toilets, washrooms, and replenishing supplies
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across the site
• Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
• Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns
