Job summary

Wallace Vets Limited is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of front-of-house, consulting rooms and staff areas within a welcoming veterinary setting.

Shifts run 5:00am–9:00am, on Saturdays and Sundays, totaling 8 hours per week. You will ensure hygiene across reception, waiting area, and staff spaces, including mopping, wiping glass, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• Reliable and thorough cleaning in a clinical environment.
• Willingness to work early morning weekend shifts.
• RCVS registration is required for this role.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and thorough Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our public and staff areas. In a veterinary environment, maintaining a welcoming, hygienic, and odor-free space is essential for our clients and our team. This role focuses primarily on the front-of-house, consulting rooms, and staff areas, rather than direct animal handling or surgical areas.

Working Hours
5:00am - 9:00am,Saturday & Sunday (8 hours per week)

Client and Consulting Areas
Your main priority will be keeping our public-facing spaces immaculate and welcoming. This involves thoroughly cleaning the reception and waiting area by mopping floors, wiping down seating, and cleaning entrance glass to remove paw prints and smudges. In the consulting rooms, you will be responsible for sweeping and mopping the floors, dusting fixtures, emptying general waste bins, and disinfecting surfaces such as countertops and exam tables to maintain a high standard of hygiene.

Staff Areas
You will also oversee the upkeep of the spaces dedicated to our hard-working team. This includes cleaning and sanitising the staff break room, wiping down countertops, tables, the sink, and the outside of appliances like microwaves and fridges, and ensure that staff restrooms are thoroughly deep-cleaned and disinfected.
