Job Description

Assist with the delivery of a clean and safe user environment within various premises across East Ayrshire to support the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.

Requirements

The role involves Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal job offer can be made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with applicants prior to employment.

Responsibilities

This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Stewarton Academy, Stewarton.

The hours are 14.5 hours per week, scheduled as follows:

  1. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 3.30pm - 6.30pm
  2. Wednesday: 2.45pm - 5.45pm
  3. Friday: 2.45pm - 5.15pm

The pay rate is £12.96 per hour. The position is temporary until 31st December 2025 and is term-time only.
