An opportunity exists for suitable individuals to work within the Facility Operations as a Cleaner at St Pauls C of E Primary School, Victoria Street, NE4 7JU.

Position details:

  1. 12 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 3:30pm to 6:00pm, and Friday 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

Grade N1 - £12.60 per hour inclusive of Real Living Wage.

What we are looking for:

Newcastle City Council is seeking reliable and friendly individuals with a positive attitude to join our Facility Services team as a Cleaner. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

About the role:

Working as part of a team and using your own initiative, your daily duties will include cleaning designated areas such as corridors, classrooms, offices, and toilets using required equipment. Responsibilities include emptying bins, mopping, and vacuuming floors, often working to fixed deadlines. The role requires regular stooping, bending, and lifting. Basic understanding of written and spoken English is necessary due to chemical handling.

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults. This position involves regulated activity, and successful applicants will undergo additional checks including criminal record checks and barred list checks. It is a criminal offense for barred individuals to apply for such roles.

Facility Services and Civic Management provide building cleaning, caretaking, school meals, and welfare catering services across the city and Gateshead. Our team includes cleaners, supervisors, caretakers, catering assistants, and chefs working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.
