Cleaner – St Julian's Primary School

Location: Newport

Salary: £12.26 Per Hour

Hours: 12.5 hours per week

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 15:30 - 18:00

Newport Norse, a joint venture between Norse Group and Newport City Council, provides contract cleaning services across the local area.

We are seeking an experienced Cleaner for St Julian's Primary School in Newport. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness, security, and general upkeep of the site, along with performing various cleaning duties as required.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Report any defects or issues to the Area Supervisor
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service

This is a part-time, permanent position working 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 15:30 - 18:00. Full training will be provided if you are new to the industry. Ideally, we are looking for candidates who:

  • Have previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles
  • Possess knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations, including the use of machinery and cleaning products
  • Can work independently and manage their workload
  • Are excellent communicators, comfortable engaging with the public and clients
