Job Title: Cleaner

Location: All campuses

Salary: Pro Rata depending on hours worked, up to £23,556.64 - £ 24,231.89 Full Time Equivalent per annum

Hours of work: Up to 37 Hours per week, up to 52 Weeks per year, Part-Time, Sessional/Casual according to business needs

About The Role:

As a Cleaner your role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various areas such as classrooms, corridors, offices and communal spaces. Cleaners are responsible for tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, changing bins and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for students, visitors and staff. You may also be tasked with restocking supplies and cleaning products. Additionally, cleaners play a crucial role in helping to prevent the spread of infections and illnesses by following proper cleaning processes and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

The following are example shifts you could be working, depending on business needs:

6.30am - 9.30am

6.30am - 1pm

12.30pm -7pm

4.00pm - 7.00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
  • Hoovering, dusting and mopping floors to remove dirt and debris
  • Changing bins and disposing of waste efficiently
  • Sanitation of surfaces to prevent the spread of infections etc
  • Restocking of supplies like toilet paper, soap and cleaning products as required
  • Following proper cleaning procedures to ensure effective cleaning and safety
  • Adhering to health and safety guidelines including utilising appropriate PPE
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities
