An educational institution in Rotherham seeks a part-time Cleaner for permanent work. The role involves maintaining cleanliness across the campus, including both inside and outside areas. Cleaner - RC Hours; Part time (3 x 15 hours per week, all year round). Duration: Permanent. Salary: £12.21 per hour. Location: Rotherham College, Rotherham.
The successful candidate will undertake general cleaning duties in allocated areas of the college, providing a clean, welcoming and safe environment for learners, employees and visitors. Duties include general cleaning operations (inside and outside), multi-surface cleaning, use of cleaning machines as trained and directed, ensuring buildings are ready for use each day while using cleaning products and equipment safely. Inform the wider Estates Team of any faults that could affect health and safety so they can be reported and resolved. Seasonal/ad-hoc deep cleaning and sanitising duties as directed, with products and materials used in accordance with training and instruction. Outside duties include sweeping and litter picking; generally keeping the outside area clean and tidy. Employment will be through Rotherham Education Services. The hours will be: 15 hours (05:30am - 08:30am, Monday - Friday).
To be successful you will need reasonable cleaning experience, ideally in an office environment, and this should include using a range of cleaning equipment and substances. You must hold or be willing to work towards Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A-C/4-9 or equivalent) and Emergency First Aid at Work. You should be highly flexible and able to respond to quick changes in demands, including urgent jobs and supporting colleagues across the Estates/Facilities team.
Working as part of the Cleaning team, you will work with colleagues under the direction of the wider Estates team to ensure that all necessary cleaning duties are undertaken and that RNN Group buildings are maintained to a high standard at all times. You will report to the Cleaning Supervisor.
