Job summary

Places for People is seeking a reliable cleaner to keep shared spaces clean and safe across Preston sites. You will follow Health and Safety requirements, complete training, and support on-site safety checks such as testing fire alarms and emergency lighting.

A full driving licence helps you move between sites as needed. You will be mindful of COSHH and safe use of cleaning products, demonstrate reliability, and work well with others while upholding safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• COSHH awareness and Health & Safety basics for cleaning
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental & compliance relating to cleaning products
• Driving license facilitates site-to-site travel between locations

Job description

You take responsibility for keeping shared indoor and outdoor areas clean and safe. You will complete training as directed, follow all Health and Safety requirements and organisational policies, and support on site safety checks, including testing fire alarms and emergency lighting. You also help uphold the organisation's people promises through proactive, inclusive behaviour. The work involves some manual handling, so you approach tasks with care and attention to safety., Safeguarding At Places for People, safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
