About the role

Pay Details: Grade 1 £12.26ph

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday.

Term time: 28.75 hrs/week (38 weeks). (may split into 2 roles)

Recess: 22 hrs/week (5 weeks).

Main Place of Work: Peterston Super Ely Primary

Description of duties:

• Assist in providing an effective cleaning service to building cleaning clients.
• Cover for other cleaners during holidays, sickness, staff shortages, and absences.
• Occasionally assist the chargehand / Site Supervisor with training cleaning staff.
• Undertake all aspects of cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, steam cleaning, site-specific cleaning, builders cleans, recess cleaning, and other tasks as specified.

About you

You will need:

• Previous experience in the cleaning industry or a related environment.
• Basic understanding of cleaning tasks required for efficient premises cleaning.
• Good verbal communication skills to interact with the public and client officers.
• Physical ability to carry out manual and active labouring duties.
• Ability to work on own initiative and undertake duties effectively.
• Positive, self-motivated, flexible, and responsive to changing priorities.
• Willingness to work irregular hours.
• Ability to drive/travel within the Vale or between locations as needed.
