Job summary

JLL in Derby is seeking a part-time Cleaner Operative to maintain high standards of cleanliness across our office environments.

Based at Raynesway, the role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10am–4pm, with training provided and enhanced security vetting required before you begin.

You’ll work as part of a facilities management team, ensuring hygienic spaces for our clients and colleagues while following safety procedures and using cleaning equipment correctly.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential (training will be provided).
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality. Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces across office spaces, common areas and restrooms.
• Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, ensure proper waste disposal, recycling procedures are followed.
• Clean and maintain restroom facilities, replenishing supplies ensuring hygiene standards are met.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns or equipment needs to supervisory staff promptly.
• Follow established cleaning protocols / safety procedures while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Collaborate with our facilities management team to minimise disruption during cleaning activities.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies inventory, ensuring tools are properly stored and maintained.
