Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is hiring a Cleaning Operative at Ryburn Valley High School in Sowerby Bridge.

This permanent, part-time role runs Monday to Friday from 15:15 to 18:00, with a total weekly hours suitable for a 13.75 per hour contract, and an annual rate of pay described below. The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning tasks, adhere to health and safety requirements, maintain personal hygiene, wear required protective clothing, and follow site rules.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks as per work schedule and job description.
• Work in line with current Health & Safety requirements.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and appearance.
• Wear protective clothing as required.
• Observe site rules and regulations.
• Report machine/building faults to Site Supervisor/Manager.
• Sign-in and sign-out as required.
• Perform any other duties requested by the Supervisor or Premises Manager.
• Respond courteously to customer requests.
• Respond to body spillages per training.

Key responsibilities:

1. Carry out all cleaning tasks in accordance with the work schedule & job description.

2. All work to be completed in accordance with current legal Health & Safety requirements.

3. Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and appearance.

4. Wear protective clothing necessary for task to be completed.

5. Observe site rules and regulations at all times.

6. Report all machine and building faults to Site Supervisor/Manager or Contract Manager.

7. Comply with signing-in and signing-out procedure.

8. Any other duties requested by Site Supervisor or Premises Manager.

9. Respond courteously to customer requests.

10. Response to body spillages in line with company training.
