Salary: Grade 1 SCP 2 - 3, £23,656 - £24,027 (Pro rata)

Job information

Post No. POSN001017 - Cleaner - Maindee Primary School

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across Maindee Primary School and Nursery.

Duties include:

  1. Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors.
  2. Sweeping and mopping classroom floors.
  3. Wiping, polishing, dusting, and spray cleaning surfaces, furniture, materials, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors, and door glass.
  4. Emptying and cleaning bins.
  5. Cleaning toilets (children’s and staff toilets), including sanitary fittings and surrounds.
  6. Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets and other areas.
  7. Maintaining cleaning cupboard order and stock levels.
  8. Spot cleaning spillages.
  9. Performing other duties as allocated.

This is a 15-hour contract.

The successful candidate will start as soon as possible.

The appointment process involves an interview with the Headteacher, Business Manager, and members of the Governing Body.
