Powys County Council is seeking a reliable cleaner to provide frontline services in line with council policies. The role covers opening and closing duties as well as security of the establishment, with additional responsibility as an out of hours key holder for emergencies and contractor access.

You will be responsible for cleaning a designated area to specification and may supervise other cleaners depending on local arrangements.

• Oversee day-to-day opening, closing and security of the establishment
• Act as out of hours key holder for emergency calls and contractor access
• Clean assigned area efficiently and supervise cleaning staff where local arrangements allow

Powys County Council currently applies a discretionary real living Wage supplement to all employees earning less than £13.45 per hour.

About the role

• To provide a front line service in line with Powys Council policies and procedures
• Responsible for the day to day opening, closing and security of the establishment
• To be an out of hours key holder for responding to emergency call outs and arranged opening – closing for contractors
• Responsible for cleaning a given area to the required specification by efficient use of the labour available. In addition the postholder may be responsible for supervising other cleaning personnel dependant on local arrangements
