Overview

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Cleaner to join our National Highways Account in Amey, Calder View House, Peel Avenue, Wakefield, WF2 7UA. This role will be based on site.

The salary is £12.82 per hour. The hours of work will be 4 hours per day – Monday to Friday (20 hours per week). The shift patterns are to be discussed during interview, with a 4-hour shift choice between: 8:00am – 12:00pm or 2:00pm – 6:00pm.

Amey provides comprehensive facilities and estate management services for National Highways England, including maintenance, cleaning, and project management. We collaborate with clients, staff, and partners to ensure our 24/7 service maintains high standards with minimal disruption, keeping one of Europe’s busiest road networks safe and operational.

Responsibilities

• Providing a cleaning service that delivers to contractual requirements
• Controlling stock levels and ordering consumables
• Operating machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
• Ensuring a high-quality service is provided to the building users at all times
• Supporting local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as appropriate
• Ensuring health and safety standards are achieved across the contract
• Recognising the impact of excellent cleaning on building users
