Role Details

Salary: £12.60 per hour (including a Real Living Wage supplement)

Location: Houghton Police Station

Hours: 15 hours per week, 06:00 – 09:00, Monday – Friday

Contract: Permanent

They ensure smooth operations across various services including maintenance, health and safety, and support for Front Line Policing. We offer a great opportunity to join as a Cleaner, playing a vital role in maintaining our stations’ cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Role Responsibilities
  • Using specialist equipment and chemicals to clean washrooms and kitchens
  • Vacuuming and mopping floors
  • Operating floor machines such as scrubbers and dryers
  • Emptying bins and performing general cleaning duties
  • Maintaining knowledge of health and safety legislation and adhering to safety standards
  • This is a physical role that requires working at heights
Candidate Requirements

No prior cleaning experience is necessary; a willingness to learn, ability to work independently and as part of a team, a reasonable level of fitness, punctuality, and reliability are essential.
