Responsibilities
- We are looking for Healthcare Cleaner to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. This vital role supports the hospital\'s infection control efforts by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility. You will work closely with Trust staff to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
- As a Healthcare Cleaner, you will be responsible for carrying out all cleaning duties as assigned by the Cleaning Supervisor and Services Manager.
- You must be flexible in your working hours to provide cover during colleagues\' annual and sick leave.
- You will be expected to have full knowledge of your work areas and comply with all statutory guidelines and regulations.
- Only approved cleaning materials should be used, and the highest standards of cleanliness must be maintained in line with legislation and contractual obligations.
- You will attend training sessions as required and demonstrate a polite, friendly, and helpful attitude at all times.
- A willingness to assist colleagues, adapt to different tasks, and work extended hours when needed is essential.
- The role involves regular communication with colleagues and the general public. You will receive guidance and supervision from your line manager, and your work will be monitored regularly.
- The position requires handling substances regulated under COSHH, working in varying temperatures, and performing manual handling tasks.
- Health and safety compliance is a key part of this role. You must attend all statutory training and follow the company\'s health and safety policies to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
- You may occasionally be required to work at other Mitie locations, with reasonable notice provided.
