Salford Council is looking for a part-time cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in a city building. The role covers 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 2.45pm to 5:15pm, on a fixed-term contract until October 2027.

You will perform cleaning, buffing, sweeping and vacuuming, contributing to a welcoming and safe environment for staff and visitors. DBS check is required, with costs recoverable if employment does not commence.

Qualifications

• Basic cleaning duties and responsibilities.
• Right to work in the UK and DBS check information will be required.
• DBS check cost and payment terms may apply and be deducted from salary.

About the role
You will clean the building to a high standard ensuring that it is a pleasant environment for visitors and staff. Duties will include cleaning, buffing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning and other general domestic cleaning duties.

The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month (£10.25 per month from 5th October 2026).
