Job description

Cleaner – Glan Llyn Primary

Location: Newport, Wales

Salary: £12.26 Per hour

Hours: 17.5 hours a week

Newport Norse is a joint venture between Norse Group and Newport City Council, providing contract cleaning services across the local area.

We are currently seeking an experienced Cleaner for Glan Llyn Primary in Newport. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, security, and general site upkeep, including various cleaning duties.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Reporting defects or issues to the Area Supervisor
  • Following health and safety regulations
  • Providing excellent customer service

This is a part-time, permanent position working 17.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 15:30 - 19:00.

Training will be provided for those new to the industry. Ideally, candidates will have:

  • Previous cleaning or janitorial experience
  • Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and the use of machinery and cleaning products
  • The ability to work independently and manage own workload
  • Good communication skills, comfortable engaging with the public and clients
