Metroline Manchester is a recently formed subsidiary of ComfortDelGro. In March 2024, we were awarded contracts to operate four franchises and join the Bee Network in Greater Manchester by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). Metroline was established in 1989, and is the fourth largest bus operator in London, operating about 17 percent of the city’s scheduled bus services. Job Summary

As a Shunter/Fueller, you will be responsible for fuelling, parking, and cleaning our fleet of state-of-the-art buses. This role offers a great opportunity to join a supportive working environment as part of the Engineering team at Wythenshawe depot.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicles are fuelled and check engine oil levels each evening.
• Keep records of fuel and oil issued to each bus.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and clean up spillages following Metroline’s Health and Safety policies.
• Wash the exterior of buses using automatic wash systems and manually clean wheels and skirt panels.
• Shunt buses within the garage and park vehicles according to the garage plan.
• Sweep and clean the interior of buses.
• Maintain records and documents as required by Metroline Manchester.
• Perform daily checks on mechanical equipment used.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness on company vehicles, including exterior and interior cleaning.
• Perform other reasonable duties as directed by management within the scope of your responsibilities.
