Our Business Services team keeps things running smoothly. They cover services like maintenance, health and safety, and supporting Front Line Policing. We have a great opportunity to join as a Cleaner, playing an integral role in keeping our custody suites clean, safe, and functional.

Unlike typical cleaning roles, you’ll work behind the scenes in our police station. You’ll take pride in your work and be part of a fantastic team. It’s a busy role with a great sense of achievement at each shift’s end.

What will I be doing?

  • Using specialist equipment and chemicals to clean washrooms and kitchens.
  • Vacuuming and mopping floors.
  • Operating floor machines such as scrubbers and dryers.
  • Emptying bins and performing general cleaning duties.
  • Maintaining knowledge of health and safety legislation and adhering to safety standards.
  • Cleaning within the custody suite, including cells and medical rooms.
  • This is a physical role that requires working at heights.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work. You don’t need previous cleaning experience – just a willingness to learn, the ability to work alone and as part of a team, and a reasonable level of fitness. Punctuality and reliability are essential.
