Job summary

PrimeLife Ltd. is looking for a dedicated cleaner to join our Westerlands Care Village team in Brough. The role focuses on maintaining clean, safe environments for residents with age-related conditions and disabilities.

Full training is provided; patient, respectful care is essential. You'll work on site, cleaning communal and resident areas, with COSHH compliance and daily documentation expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.
• Must convey a genuine caring approach to residents and maintain respectful interactions.
• Ability to maintain high hygiene standards and follow cleaning protocols.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks as required by the home.
• Deep clean areas to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Vacuum, dust, mop and polish surfaces.
• Clean shared and personal bathrooms and toilets.
• Maintain stock of cleaning products and follow COSHH rules.
• Complete paperwork to log cleaning activities.

This role will be based at Westerlands Care Village, in Brough. The home has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 83 residents, living with a range of age-related conditions, physical disabilities and mental health conditions, and as such require dignified support from our caring team. Additionally, some of our residents live with Dementia. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident's individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Cleaner include:

• Undertaking cleaning tasks in accordance with the home’s requirements
• Deep cleaning areas to maintain excellent standards of hygiene
• Vacuuming, dusting, mopping and polishing
• Cleaning shared and personal bathrooms and toilets
• Maintaining stock of cleaning products and ensuring COSHH controls are adhered to
• Completing paperwork and documentation to record cleaning activities as required

What we're looking for in our Cleaner:

To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Though prior experience as a Cleaner within a similar environment is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Typically, our residents live with age related conditions, life-limiting health conditions and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident's individual abilities.
