Are you passionate about creating a clean and safe environment for others? Do you want to play a vital role in supporting healthcare services? Our client is seeking dedicated Domestic Assistants to join their team at Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.

Position: Domestic Assistant

Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing (Temp to Perm opportunities available)

Start Date: ASAP

Shift Patterns Available: 30 hours - Weekdays - 16:30 – 23:00

What You’ll Do

• Clinical cleaning within a rapid response team in both clinical and non-clinical areas, ensuring hospitals and health centres are suitable for patient care and infection control.
• Perform deep cleaning and routine tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising bathrooms and patient areas.
• Dispose of different types of waste.
• Clean clinical and non-clinical areas such as wards, toilets, corridors, and waiting areas.
• Conduct scheduled deep cleans in isolation rooms and high-risk areas.
• Use approved cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Follow strict cleaning protocols in line with infection prevention guidelines.
• Apply barrier cleaning techniques and understand zoning principles.
• Ensure high-touch surfaces are cleaned regularly and thoroughly.
• Utilise colour-coded cleaning materials to prevent cross-contamination.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous Domestic/Cleaning experience desirable.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Attention to detail and an ability to follow strict protocols.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work part-time hours as required.
