Job description

We are currently looking to appoint a hard-working and reliable cleaner to our cleaning department at the Basildon Academies. The appointed cleaner will be contracted to the Lower Academy.

Salary Range: National Minimum Wage

Working Hours: 15:45-18:45, Monday-Friday

Additional weeks may be available during the school holidays for deep cleans and summer school. There may also be additional hours to cover absences within the cleaning team.

The successful candidate will be:

• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Able to work both alone and in a team
• Detail-oriented and prideful in their work
• Physically fit due to the nature of the role
• Aware of Health & Safety procedures

Duties include cleaning designated areas of the school to a high standard, performing periodic checks, and ensuring adherence to relevant school policies and procedures.
